How can I even start to describe the work and feelings behind this EP?
In one way you can say me and co-producer Andres Barlesi started working on this last summer. But in another, and far more important way, you can say it started the very first day I sang, the very first day I went to Berlin, the day I decided to move away from my dear home Lofoten, the day I decided to do what I wanted the most.
A very dear friend of mine said that making art and music is all about ‘being in it for the long run’ and I really agree with that. Art and music is a slow process. It takes years to develop the skills you want and it takes years to unravel what makes you special, what message you have to bring to the world and how you want to make people dance, cry, rage or smile.
More than anything this EP feels like a beginning. I know that this is not the last, but the very first of the many, many, many collections of songs I’m gonna make. And this makes me happy and satisfied in the making of it.
Enough said for now! Let’s go! My first EP is out there and I hope it makes you feel happy, sad, angry, entertained or even comforted!
